it is raining and i would like to lay in the wet grass with you and feel the water soak through my clothes and smell the earth full of life and moisture and spring. i would like to let go and feel a tear fall down my face, carried away by the raindrops. i would like to inhale the day and exhale the night. i would like you to lay next to me and hold my hand on a blanket with stripes the colors of deep autumn. it's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's ALL right. i would like to taste the rain, the sweet rain. and hear the birds, and feel the earth spinning, and your heartbeat coming through your palm resting on my left hip and your head nestled beneath my chin. i would like to kiss you in the rain.
